| Punch Records started in Los Angeles on October 8,
1982 - the same day my daughter, Myla, was born. I started Punch as an independant
artist-owned label as a practical way to get my music out to the public. My first record
was a 7-inch, 33 1/3, four-song vinyl titled simply "Michael Hardie". In recent
years, this method of independant record-making has become much more in vogue. Michael has
had songs on compilation records on other labels and songs recorded by other artists on
different labels (see "Discography" as part of our "Online Press
Kit"). As with all independant artists, Michael is always open to working with other
people in the record business on every level. In the meantime, Michael Hardie will keep
putting out his own product to keep the music moving. |
